MODERN DATA COLLECTION-PLOT YOUR DISTOMETER MEASUREMENTS WHILE MEASURING IN AUTOCAD
Plotting while measuring saves time and make the drawing accurate with no ambiguities. Creating accurate drawings is painless with a Bluetooth enabled DISTO device. If you paired the Distometer with AutoCAD mobile app, the Plotting can be done simultaneously.
First turn on Bluetooth in both devices and pair them. See the image below.
After tapping on “Connect to Leica DISTO”, make sure your Leica DISTO device is turned on, and that the Bluetooth of your mobile device or IPAD is also turned on.
The laser icon on the top bar will be displayed in green to indicate a successful connection.
Simply create a line in your drawing, take a measurement with a DISTO, and the length will update automatically. It’s the quickest way to cut your drafting time in half.
Once the device is connected successfully, you can use it to input values while using any of the accurate drawing and editing tools (while a units box for typing a value is shown on the screen).
- Tap on the polyline tool
- Tap to set the first point of the polyline
- Tap to set the second point of the polyline (for the purpose of setting the direction of the polyline segment)
- While the tool is still active, measure a distance with your Leica DISTO device. The value of the measured distance will be automatically transferred to the app, replacing the previous value
- You may continue adding polyline segments, by either using your finger to set the next segments direction, or by using the “Add” button and inputting the angle manually
